BLUE LINE THIMBLE

The Blue Line Thimble is compatible with Samson’s high-performance, high-modulus synthetic fiber rope products such as AmSteel®-Blue, Force-8, and DPX™-75. The tubular gusseted design creates a high-strength thimble that protects the rope and maintains the proper bending radius when connected to mating hardware. The Blue Line Thimble is powder coated black.

Good not great

These thimbles are really nice, but not enough sizes are available. The smallest is supposed to cover 3/8ths to 3/16ths, but a 1/4 inch line fits rather sloppily. In the end i went with another companies heavy duty stainless steel thimble for my 1/4" amsteel.
Theres also a small hole drilled into both the thimbles i got, but in different locations. On one its in the little metal bridge at the base, on the other its up near the top of the bend. Not sure what thats all about, perhaps used for dipping in the rubbery coating, but i dont like them.
So if youre dealing with 3/8ths line, this thimble works great. But if your line is much smaller, find those heavy duty stainless steel thimbles, theyre a perfect fit.
